13.அஃகமும் காசும் சிக்கெனத் தேடு---Be prudent in seeking grains and money
14.கற்பு எனப் படுவது சொல் திறம்பாமை---Morality is all about no breach of trust
15.காவல் தானே பாவையர்க்கு அழகு---Guarding against breach adds beauty to a woman

17.கீழோர் ஆயினும் தாழ உரை---Be humble even to underlings

39.திரை கடல் ஓடியும் திரவியம் தேடு---Sail across to seek wealth
40.தீராக் கோபம் போராய் முடியும்---Rage could end in riot
41.துடியாப் பெண்டிர் மடியில் நெருப்பு---Apathetic woman is dangerous

52.நுண்ணிய கருமமும் எண்ணித்துணி---Asess before embarking on even the easiest task
53.நூல்முறை தெரிந்து சீலத்து ஒழுகு---Learn sacred text percepts and behave virtuously
54.நெஞ்சை ஒளித்து ஒரு வஞ்சகம் இல்லை---No treachery can be hidden from your scruples
55.நேரா நோன்பு சீர் ஆகாது---False austerity implies no virtue
56.நைபவர் எனினும் நொய்ய உரையேல்---Never insult the inferior
57.நொய்யவர் என்பவர் வெய்யவர் ஆவர்---Even short statured can reach heights by their deeds
58.நோன்பு என்பது கொன்று தின்னாமை---Austerity shuns slaughter
59.பண்ணிய பயிரில் புண்ணியம் தெரியும்---As you sow so shall you reap (Your deeds good or bad will repay you in kind )
60.பாலோடு ஆயினும் காலம் அறிந்து உண்---Let it be milk,but eat at the right time
61.பிறன் மனை புகாமை அறம் எனத் தகும்---No lust for another man's wife is a worthy virtue
62.பீரம் பேணில் பாரம் தாங்கும்---Breastfed children would be fortified
63.புலையும் கொலையும் களவும் தவிர்---Shun meat,lynch and loot

65.பெற்றோர்க்கு இல்லை சுற்றமும் சினமும்---Spiritual liberation rises above temporal love and hate

67.பையச் சென்றால் வையம் தாங்கும்---A guarded approach behoves well
68.பொல்லாங்கு என்பது எல்லாம் தவிர்---Eschew all wrongful conduct

70.மருந்தே ஆயினும் விருந்தோடு உண்---Even if it is a rare elixir share it with every one

73.மீகாமன் இல்லா மரக்கலம் ஓடாது---A sailor is needed to steer a barge
74.முற்பகல் செய்யின் பிற்பகல் விளையும்---Every deed has a repercussion
75.மூத்தோர் சொல் வார்த்தை அமிர்தம்---Wise counsels from seniors are like nectar
76.மெத்தையில் படுத்தல் நித்திரைக்கு அழகு---Soft mattress gives good sleep
77.மேழிச் செல்வம் கோழை படாது---Riches from ploughing never slump
78.மை விழியார் தம் மனை அகன்று ஒழுகு---Stay away from harlots
79.மொழிவது மறுக்கின் அழிவது கருமம்---Disregarding wise counsels bring disaster
80.மோனம் என்பது ஞான வரம்பு---Silence is a prelude to spiritual knowledge
81.வளவன் ஆயினும் அளவு அறிந்து அழித்து உண்---Even if you are affluent(farmer) be thrifty
82.வானம் சுருங்கில் தானம் சுருங்கும்---When rains fail charity falls
83.விருந்து இல்லோர்க்கு இல்லை பொருந்திய ஒழுக்கம்---Not feeding guests does not befit a host
84.வீரன் கேண்மை கூர் அம்பாகும்---A brave friend is akin to posessing a sharp arrow
85.உரவோர் என்கை இரவாது இருத்தல்---The strong never solicit aid
86.ஊக்கம் உடைமை ஆக்கத்திற்கு அழகு---The assiduous enhance wealth
87.வெள்ளைக்கு இல்லை கள்ளச் சிந்தை---The well-disposed are never destructive
88.வேந்தன் சீறின் ஆம் துணை இல்லை---The king's (ruler's) ire makes one helpless
89.வைகல் தோறும் தெய்வம் தொழு---Worship God every morning
90.ஒத்த இடத்து நித்திரை கொள்---Sleep in a suitable place
91.ஓதாதவர்க்கு இல்லை உணர்வோடு ஒழுக்கம்---The illiterates are bereft of good conduct
