Resul pookutty the Sound engineer/designer of 'Slumdog Millionaire' has also been nominated to Oscars along with ARR. Resul hails from an obscure village called Anchal near Punalur in Kollam district of Kerala.It is a great honour for Indian film industry, and especially Kerala.Pookutty is an FTII graduate and was the sound director for films like Gajini and Black.Pookutty has also been nominated for best sound in 'Slum dog Millionaire' by the British Academy for Film and Television Arts BAFTA award.Resul became popular with his sound direction in the film "Black" where there are no songs.The sound direction by Resul made the film noteworthy.
