Chidambaram's Love for Hindi

It was heartening to note PC has attempted to speak in Hindi in a New Delhi function .This is a welcome change from a Tamilnadu politician .PC's talk in Hindi was contextual .It was made in a function organised to mark 'Hindi day'.There is no harm in learning a language and trying to speak in that language. It is surprising it took so long for PC to make this attempt.He did not stop with talking in Hindi , he even exhorted officials to promote the national language.Back home in TN PC may be pooh-poohed by his Dravidian ally for his sudden found love for Hindi .When IAS ans IPS officers from north learn and speak in southern regional languages that holds good for the entire nation.PC is a potential PM candidate for the future,while Rahul Gandhi is cooling his heels .Is there a hidden agenda ? Is he preparing himself for the prized 'kursi' ? Whatever it is ,well done PC.
